This Builder Hall 9 base number 04 is much more structured than some of the irregular layouts you see at this level. The Builder Hall sits almost exactly in the middle, with matching defensive compartments on the left and right. At first glance, the symmetry makes the base look easy to understand. In practice, though, that same structure gives several defenses overlapping coverage around the area an attacker eventually needs to enter.

The Builder Hall is well protected by position rather than excessive wall layers. It is far enough from the perimeter that troops cannot reach it immediately, yet the route inward is not filled with unnecessary compartments. Instead, attackers have to move past defenses positioned on both sides of the core. A poorly prepared ground push could start losing troops before it has properly reached the Hall.

One of the most important pieces here is the Lava Launcher in the upper section. Its position allows it to pressure groups of ground troops while they are still working through the surrounding defenses. That can be especially useful against armies that stay clustered together. Leaving the Lava Launcher active for too long may force an attacker to adjust the original plan rather than simply pushing straight toward the center.

The Giant Cannon on the left side creates a different type of threat. Because it sits outside the central compartment system, attacking the Builder Hall from another direction does not automatically remove it. Ground units that line up across its firing lane may take significant pressure while already dealing with the inner defenses.

I also like the way the smaller compartments are arranged. The upper-left and upper-right sections each contain defensive targets that can pull troops sideways. A Battle Machine entering slightly off-center, for example, may choose a nearby defense rather than continuing directly toward the Builder Hall. That small change in path can separate it from the troops it was supposed to protect.

The lower portion of the base adds another layer of control. Defensive buildings and wall sections create a broad central approach, but there are enough nearby targets to make troop selection less predictable. Exterior structures also discourage extremely wide deployment, since some units may remain outside while the main group moves toward the core.

There is a downside to such a symmetrical design. Once an experienced attacker understands the layout, the likely defensive coverage is easier to read. A clean funnel through one side could keep a strong army together and reduce much of the pathing disruption the base is trying to create.

Even with that trade-off, the defensive concept is solid. This BH9 layout appears focused on protecting the Builder Hall with overlapping fire, maintaining Lava Launcher pressure, controlling ground movement, and forcing attackers to commit before reaching the center. It should be especially effective against rushed attacks that send most of the army directly inward without first dealing with the side defenses and establishing a proper funnel.
