Awesome Medal Event Guide: Card Tokens, Quest Medals, Rewards & Elephant Rider

# Awesome Medal Event Guide: Card Tokens, Quest Medals, Rewards & Elephant Rider

The **Awesome Medal Event** is now live in Clash of Clans, and this one feels a little more useful than the usual “attack, collect, repeat” event. It ties into the Awesome Quest theme and revolves around three things: collecting Card Tokens, earning Quest Medals, and deciding what is actually worth buying in the Trader Shop.

The **Elephant Rider** is also part of the event, giving players more time to test the troop instead of treating it as a one-day curiosity.

How the Awesome Medal Event Works

The loop is fairly simple. Collect **Card Tokens** during Home Village battles, move along the event reward track, and unlock Quest Medals plus other rewards.

Quest Medals work differently. They are not used to progress the event. Instead, you save them and spend them separately in the Trader Shop.

That difference matters more than it first appears. Card Tokens are progression; Quest Medals are spending currency. If you are aiming for a specific Hero Equipment item or limited cosmetic, buying the first cheap reward you see could leave you short later.

What Is on the Free Reward Track?

The free track shown in-game includes some useful rewards:

* **3,100 Quest Medals** * **5,000 Shiny Ore** * **400 Glowy Ore** * A cosmetic reward * Access to the temporary **Elephant Rider**

For newer accounts, 5,000 Shiny Ore is a nice boost. Players already working on higher Equipment levels may appreciate the 400 Glowy Ore more.

Glowy Ore has a habit of becoming the frustrating bottleneck. You might have plenty of Shiny Ore sitting around but still be unable to finish the Equipment upgrade you actually care about.

The 3,100 Quest Medals may be the best part because they give you a choice instead of locking you into one reward.

Is the Event Pass Worth Buying?

The premium Event Pass adds more rewards, including **5,500 Quest Medals, 600 Glowy Ore, and 80 Starry Ore**.

The Starry Ore immediately stands out if you are upgrading Epic Equipment. Still, I would not buy the pass just because those numbers look large.

Check the Trader first.

See which Equipment, cosmetics, or Ore you actually want, work out the medal cost, and then decide whether the free track already gets you close enough. Sometimes the best-value reward is simply the one you were already planning to get.

Elephant Rider Gets More Time to Shine

The Elephant Rider is probably the most fun part of the event.

It is a large ground troop that prefers defenses, carries a huge amount of HP, and appears most useful at the front of a ground push.

I would try a few Elephant Riders with damage-focused troops behind them instead of filling the whole army with elephants. Valkyries are an obvious combination to experiment with. The elephants can absorb defensive fire while the Valkyries move into tighter compartments behind them.

More elephants do not automatically mean a better army. Three or four used well may tell you much more about the troop than dropping a giant group and hoping for the best.

What Should You Spend Quest Medals On?

This is probably the most important decision in the event.

If the Trader offers Hero Equipment you do not own and genuinely plan to use, I would put that first. Afterward, **Starry Ore and Glowy Ore** make sense if your main Equipment is already unlocked.

Cosmetics come next if collecting them matters to you.

Gold and Elixir would be much lower on my list. They are useful, sure, but you can farm them whenever you want. Missing an Equipment opportunity could be harder to fix later.

Free-to-play players should be particularly patient here. Saving your medals until you have seen the full Trader inventory is safer than spending everything during the first few days.

Fastest Way to Finish the Event

You probably do not need perfect three-star attacks if your main goal is collecting Card Tokens. Quick, repeatable attacks may actually be more efficient.

Collect the available tokens whenever you play, check your reward-track progress before logging off, and claim rewards regularly.

Most importantly, decide early what you are chasing: **Equipment, Ore, cosmetics, or simply the free rewards**.

The Awesome Medal Event appears worth completing even without the premium pass. Just avoid the easiest mistake of all—spending Quest Medals before you know what you really want.

Collect first. Check the Trader. Spend last.
